Lactalis Canada Recognized with Two Canadian Grocer Impact Awards for Supporting Employees and Community Service

August 15, 2023 – Toronto, ON – Lactalis Canada, the Canadian dairy leader behind iconic brands like Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson, Astro and Lactantia and a subsidiary of France-based Lactalis Group, is proud to be recognized with two 2023 Canadian Grocer Impact awards in the Supporting Employees and Community Service categories.

Supporting Employees Award

As part of Lactalis Canada’s support of employees and commitment to being an Employer of Choice, the company has enhanced its Total Rewards program with updated financial wellbeing, mental health and wellness offerings; invested significantly in training and professional development; and created innovative programs to foster intrapreneurship and two-way communication across the organization.

Community Service Award

In addition to the company’s ongoing commitment to the communities it operates in, Lactalis Canada’s P’tit Québec brand implemented its second annual P’tits projets pas si p’tits campaign in June 2022, which focused on the Sainte-Aurélie in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec with an array of enhancement projects that provide the community better spaces to come together, making for a big, and lasting, impact. The Canadian Grocer Impact awards recognize initiatives introduced by retailers, suppliers and solution providers that are making a meaningful difference in a range of areas from helping the planet to supporting employees and communities. The award categories include Sustainability, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Supporting Employees and Community Service. Lactalis Canada was recognized with a Canadian Grocer Impact award for Sustainability in 2021 and for Community Service in 2022.
