Lactalis Canada Recognized with 2025 Canadian Grocer Impact Awards for Sustainability and Community Service
August 11, 2025 – Toronto, ON – Lactalis Canada, the Canadian dairy leader behind iconic brands like Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson, Astro and Lactantia and a subsidiary of France-based Lactalis Group, is proud to be recognized with two 2025 Canadian Grocer Impact awards in the Sustainability and Community Service categories:
Sustainability Award for Lactalis Canada’s Oshawa, Ontario Distribution Centre
Inaugurated in December 2024, Lactalis Canada’s new state-of-the-art distribution centre in Oshawa, Ontario is sustainably designed to reduce the company’s carbon footprint while meeting the evolving needs of its business and valued customers as well as supporting local economies through employment. Further, the addition of this facility to Lactalis Canada’s network, reinforces our long-term investment in Canada, its food sector and vital supply chains. Community Service Award for P’tit Québec’s P’tits projets pas si p’tits Campaign
Since 2021, Lactalis Canada’s P’tit Québec brand has been dedicated to strengthening communities across Quebec by enhancing public spaces where people can come together as part of the P’tits projets pas si p’tits campaign. The fourth iteration of this community-oriented initiative in 2024 saw the P’tit Lounge d’église take shape in Delson, Quebec which included the complete transformation of the local church basement into a modern community space to bring the people of Delson together.
