Please introduce yourself: who are you and what do you do?

I’m Cameron Pickard, Director of Organizational Development for Lactalis USA – based out of our offices in Chicago, Illinois! I lead our initiatives on Training, Talent Management, Campus Programs and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

What positions have you held over the years and what led to your current role in the U.S.?

I started my career with Lactalis Canada in Toronto, Ontario in 2015 holding progressive roles in areas such as Talent Management, International Mobility, and Employee Relations. I was then eager to grow my career in the U.S. and moved into a role as HR Manager for a newly-created division through a major Lactalis acquisition. As our U.S. businesses have continued to grow, I am fortunate to now be in a role where I get to support all of our U.S. Business Units in the space of Organizational Development.

What made you want to explore international opportunities with us?

As I was previously in a role supporting International Mobility, I know the level of care and support that goes into these types of situations. As a part of my career development conversations, I was sure to share my aspirations in taking on a position in the U.S. one day and was ultimately supported in seeing it through when the right opportunity came up.

How does Lactalis encourage and support international mobility?

Lactalis is a truly global company with so many opportunities in countries around the world! If you are open to it and work hard, then the company will be there to support you in realizing your dreams. I’m very thankful to Lactalis for where I’ve ended up in my career.
